2020-2021 Girls Youth Indoor Winter Lacrosse League

Come play in ISP's 2020-21 Indoor Winter LAX League!  Our girls' 12v12 youth leagues play on Saturdays and are for 5th grade through 8th grade players.  Check below for dates and times. Organizer Incentive Credit:

ISP recognizes the many hours of dedication involved in organizing a youth lacrosse team for the winter league.  As a thank you, a designated team organizer who brings in a girls’ youth team of 19 or more players is entitled to the 19th player registering free of charge.   1. What guidelines is ISP following with regards to COVID-19?

    • ISP is closely following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines as set by the state of NJ. As these guidelines continue to change, ISP will be sure to update its protocol in order to remain 100% compliant. Our top priority is the well-being of all of our staff and league participants.

  2. What league changes due to COVID-19 can I expect to see this year?​

    • Game times will be staggered to better social distance.

    • Players and coaches will enter ISP through the lobby and exit out the field doors.

    • Player/coach check-in will follow ISP Covid-19 Safety Protocols and Guidelines.

    • Only players and coaches will be allowed in the building. No spectators will be permitted to enter the lobby or field.

    • Players must come dressed ready to play. Team rooms will not be used during the league.

    • Masks must be worn at all times except while playing on the field or drinking water.

    • Social distancing must be maintained as much as possible.

    • Hand sanitizer is located throughout the building as well as prominent social distancing signage.

    • Garage and emergency doors on fields will be kept open to increase air flow.

    • Ventilation and air flow fans will be on to improve air flow.

  3. I am a team organizer/coach and I would like to register a team. What should I do?

    • If you are a team organizer and you would like to setup a team, please contact Eileen Schlusberg –  eileen@ISPEventcenter.com  – or by phone at 973-895-4007 to have your team listed in our league or to get updates on players registered to date. Deadline to enter a team is November 1. Please let ISP know ASAP if you would like to enter a team this year. Each team is required to designate at least one parent coach, or representative. The coach or representative will help ensure proper conduct and behavior of the team while in team rooms and on the sidelines.  This will also help facilitate communication between ISP and all teams.

  4. How many players do I need on my team?

    • A minimum of 18 players is needed to enter as a team and ensure no individuals will be placed with your team from outside your community. If your team has less than 18 Players, ISP may add players to your roster. Groups of less than 18 are welcome to register as ISP will be able to supplement players to complete your roster.

  5. My team is not playing, can I register as an individual?

    • Absolutely! If your town/team is not registered to play at ISP but you would like to participate you will register as an individual player.  After registration has closed, ISP will assign you to a team who needs additional players.  Once assigned, you will be contacted by ISP with the name of your team.  If we are unable to assign you, we will let you know as soon as possible!

  6. What is the format of play for the Girls Youth League?

    • 12 vs. 12 format.

    • There will be an 8 minute warm-up prior to the start of the game.

    • There will be 25 minute halves with a 2 minute half-time.

    • There will be playoffs & championship games for each league.

    • All teams will play each week.

  7. What is the weather cancellation policy?

    • ISP will make every effort to remain open so that all league games can be played.  If a cancellation, in the interest of safety, is necessary games cancelled due to inclement weather may not be rescheduled. All cancellations and closings will be posted on our website.

  8. Is there a refund policy specific to COVID-19? 

    • Yes! If ISP is unable to start the league due to COVID-19, ISP will refund your registration fee. If ISP is unable to complete the league due to COVID-19, i.e., league already in process, ISP will refund your registration fee based on a prorated amount.

  9. What time will I play each week?

    • Each team will play one game per week with the game time changing on a weekly basis. Schedules will be posted on our website.

  10. What is your refund policy?

    • ISP does not provide refunds for any reason. However, ISP is pleased to offer an insurance option through Registration Saver.

  11. Are there any rules specific to the Girls Youth League?

    • Yes! Girls Youth games will play modified checking.

    • *If a team coach is uncomfortable playing full checking it is that coach’s responsibility to alert the officials and opposing coach that they would prefer to play modified, in which case modified checking will be played in that game.

    • There is a 6 goal mercy rule.  Any team trailing by 6 goals will automatically receive the ball instead of a draw.  It is mandatory to take the ball.
